This is quite a list of great books. I'd have to give the edge to Sophie Hannah's Kind of Cruel but I suspect that Reacher will win it.

The Mina book is "Gods and Beasts" - but maybe that is tongue in cheek for "Gods and Men" ??? Anyway, I note that the book is not released yet but Amazon UK has an average 3.0 rating based on only 5 reviews, mostly from Amazon's Vine program. More than one reader commented "not as good as End of the Wasp Season". Interesting that it got a nomination. Ken

Thanks Ken, have corrected it. Sometimes a title gets stuck in my head like Camilleri's wings of the sphinx which became phoenix in my head!

Not sure of the criteria for shortlisting these...
